We are a young logistics company with internal customs clearance. For our customs office at the Swiss-German border in Thayngen near Schaffhausen we are looking for a trainee in customs clearance (100%) with the prospect of a subsequent permanent position as a customs declarant.

You will be trained in the following tasks:

– Independent work in the field of customs clearance / logistics, in particular:

– Processing of import customs clearance / export customs clearance

– Tariff according to Tares

– Regular answering of telephone calls

– Regular telephone and written advice to (new) customers on customs issues and acceptance of customs clearance and transport orders

– Respond to emails on a regular basis

– Reception of walk-in customers on site at the counter

– Preparation of other customs documents (EUR.1, 13.20A, etc.)

– Correspondence and clarifications with customers, customs offices and partners

– Administrative activities

What you bring to the table:

– A completed commercial training (KV apprenticeship), preferably in the field of customs clearance / logistics / wholesale and foreign trade

– General knowledge in the field of transport and/or customs an advantage

– Very good knowledge of German (oral and written)

– At least basic knowledge of English (any other language is an advantage)

– Ideally knowledge in the software connections ATLAS and/or e-dec

– Good computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel)

– PW driver’s license advantageous due to the localities

– A friendly, self-confident, quality-conscious and resilient personality

– A precise way of working

– The willingness to learn new things

– subsequent salary of 4’500.- CHF / month (13 salaries) in the 3rd year

– subsequent salary of 5’000.- CHF / month (13 salaries) in the 4th year (if suitable)
